SEMARANG – The Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM), Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), successfully organized an international guest lecture as part of the UNDIP Global Class (UGC) program. The activity was integrated into the Battery and Fuel Cell course taught by Linda Suyati and Alvin Romadhoni Putra Hidayat.
The guest lecture featured Dr. Achmad Yanuar Maulana from Dong-A University, South Korea, who delivered two online sessions.
The first session, held on May 7, 2026, discussed the history of batteries, their working principles, and the classification of primary, secondary, and emerging battery technologies. The second session, conducted on May 21, 2026, focused on lithium-ion batteries and future developments in secondary battery technologies.
According to Lecture Linda Suyati, the program aimed to broaden students’ international perspectives on the latest developments in battery research and industry. Students had the opportunity to learn directly from an expert with international research experience.
Through this activity, the Department of Chemistry FSM UNDIP and Dong-A University strengthened their academic partnership and explored future collaborations, including student exchanges, joint research projects, and more international guest lectures.
This initiative reflects UNDIP’s commitment to enhancing global education and supporting international academic cooperation through the UNDIP Global Class program.
