Research focuses on:

  • Synthesis and modification of natural zeolites, silica, and porous inorganic materials
  • Development of ionic imprinted polymers (IIP) and molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP) for selective metal ion recognition
  • Separation and adsorption of heavy metal ions such as Au(III), Fe(III), Cd(II), Zn(II), and Cu(II)
  • Membrane materials, including polymer inclusion membranes and hollow fiber membranes, for separation and desalination processes
  • Applications of functional materials in environmental remediation, water treatment, and energy systems
  • Engineering of eugenol- and polyeugenol-based materials as selective carrier and adsorbent systems
  • Design of selective polymer- and natural mineral-based materials for ion separation and environmental-energy applications
